The infrastructure sector in Türkiye serves as a central pillar of the national economy, driving both urban development and enhancing the country's economic competitiveness on the global stage. Between 1986 and 2023, Türkiye has undertaken 270 public-private partnership projects, representing a colossal financial commitment of USD 204 billion. These initiatives highlight the dynamic transformation the country is undergoing, addressing both rising domestic needs and its ambition to play a leading geostrategic role between Europe and Asia.

By 2028, Türkiye plans to construct 4,728 km of highways, underscoring its sustained commitment to improving its transport network. These investments are particularly crucial as the public works sector received 26.8% of the budget allocated for the 2023 investment program, with major ongoing projects aimed at enhancing urban and interurban transport capacities.
