Opel Combo to be produced in Bursa

Stellantis’ light commercial vehicle models will be produced in Bursa starting from the third quarter of 2026. Following the Peugeot Rifter, the long-awaited announcement regarding the Opel Combo has also been confirmed.

The Opel Combo, one of the flagship models in Opel’s light commercial vehicle range, will begin production in the third quarter of 2026 at the Tofaş plant in Bursa. The local production of the Combo, which has made a significant contribution to Opel’s growth in the light commercial vehicle market in Türkiye, marks a new milestone in the brand’s industrial strategy in Türkiye.

Taking to the road with the “Made in Türkiye” label

The Opel Combo will hit the road with the “Made in Türkiye” label. Through this investment, Opel aims to strengthen its competitiveness in the light commercial vehicle market and provide its customers with faster and more flexible solutions.

Following the Zafira, Vivaro and Vivaro Van models, whose production has already started at the Tofaş plant in Bursa, the addition of the Combo to the production program will further expand Opel’s range of light commercial vehicles manufactured in Türkiye.

In addition to the expected efficiency gains across supply, logistics and operational processes, local production is expected to enable Opel to respond more quickly to changes in market demand and provide solutions more effectively tailored to customer needs.

Opel has stood out in recent years for its strong performance in the light commercial vehicle market in Türkiye. In 2025, the brand sold 27,471 light commercial vehicles, ranking third among the best-selling brands in the market. The Opel Combo, with 15,722 units sold, was the main driver of this performance.

The Combo also maintained its strong momentum in 2026. During the first seven months of the year, the model recorded 7,779 sales, achieving a 15% market share and ranking among the most popular models in the C-Combivan segment.

These sales figures highlight the strategic role of the Combo in Opel’s light commercial vehicle strategy. With the transition to local production, the brand aims to further strengthen the model’s competitiveness in the market in Türkiye.

The Opel Combo stands out with its distinctive Opel Vizor front-end design, digital cockpit, advanced driver assistance systems and Intelli-Lux LED Matrix headlights, a technology that is particularly notable in its segment.

Available in Essential, Edition and Ultimate trim levels, the model combines a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 130 hp with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Combining efficiency, functionality, generous interior space and driving comfort, the Opel Combo meets the diverse needs of both commercial users and families.
