Hisense evolves its local market presence in Türkiye

Hisense, a global brand specialising in consumer electronics and home technologies, has officially announced the launch of its operations in Türkiye at an event held in Istanbul. Organised under the theme “Feel the Light Within”, the event offered guests the opportunity to experience Hisense products firsthand and brought together business partners, industry representatives and technology professionals.
Building on its user-centred approach to innovation and global engineering expertise, Hisense is entering the Turkish market with high-tech televisions designed to bring a cinematic experience into the home, alongside smart air conditioners delivering advanced climate control performance.
One of the highlights of the event was the 116UXQ model, which combines Hisense’s RGB MiniLED technology with a massive 116-inch screen.
Guests also had the opportunity to explore the UR8 and UR9 models from the RGB MiniLED family, as well as the ULED MiniLED and Hi-QLED series already available for sale in Türkiye. Ranging in screen size from 65 to 116 inches, Hisense televisions were showcased throughout the event, highlighting their picture quality, colour performance, large-screen formats and smooth viewing experience.
In addition to televisions, Hisense’s Hi-Smart, Max Comfort and Energy Pro X air conditioning series, along with the Air Master model, were also on display.
The brand also introduced its global product ecosystem beyond its current range through the concept “The Home of the Future with Hisense”.
The immersive exhibition area featured major household appliances and small domestic appliances that are not yet available for sale in Türkiye. It offered visitors an overview of Hisense’s smart living vision, extending beyond televisions and air conditioning, as well as the broader product portfolio the group plans to bring to the Turkish market in the future.
“We Are Coming with a Long-Term Vision”
Speaking at the event, Hanson Han, CEO of Hisense Europe, highlighted the strategic importance of the Turkish market. He explained that Hisense believes technology should serve people and make everyday life better. This principle, which guides the company’s global journey, will also shape its future in Türkiye.
“We are coming with a long-term vision. Our story in Türkiye is just beginning, and we are very excited about the journey we will build together over the coming years,” he said.
Alenka Potocnik Anzic, Marketing Director of Hisense Europe and member of the Hisense Europe Management Committee, then delivered a presentation on the group’s sports sponsorship strategy. She explained that Hisense’s global growth involves investing not only in technology but also in building strong, long-lasting relationships with people.
Highlighting sport as one of the key platforms for this approach, she continued:
“Through our partnerships with FIFA and UEFA, which we have maintained since 2016, we go beyond brand visibility by bringing technology, football and the fan experience together. This long-term approach strengthens Hisense’s global brand awareness and consumer trust while creating new opportunities for our retail partners. In Türkiye, we also aim to combine the strength of our global brand with local consumer experiences, making Hisense a natural part of people’s everyday lives.”
“We Want to Write Our Story Together with Our Partners and Consumers”
Bostjan Vodeb, Sales Director for Eastern Europe and General Manager of Hisense Türkiye, stated that Türkiye is an important market in which the group sees significant long-term potential.
He explained that Hisense’s priorities go beyond simply bringing products to market. The company also aims to establish a strong foundation through local teams, reliable sales and distribution partners, and a dependable after-sales service network.
Emphasising that the journey, which begins with televisions and air conditioners, is expected to expand gradually into new product categories from 2027 onwards, he said:
“Our ‘Accessible Luxury’ approach is at the heart of this journey. We believe that advanced technology, outstanding design and a premium experience should not be reserved for a limited segment of consumers, but should be accessible to many more people. We want to write our story in Türkiye not on our own, but together with our partners and consumers. Our global story began in 1969, and today we are opening a new chapter in Türkiye. Let’s bring the light of Hisense to Türkiye together.”
Ekin Doğan Çomak, Commercial Director responsible for Sales and Marketing at Hisense Türkiye, also emphasised that innovation is not simply about developing newer, faster or more advanced technologies. He explained that its true value lies in how technology transforms people’s lives, what it makes easier and how it makes them feel when it becomes part of their everyday experience.
Stressing that Hisense seeks to place technology within everyday life rather than ahead of it, he added:
“While making advanced technology, quality design and a premium experience accessible to more people, we aim to build a long-term and sustainable presence in Türkiye. From consumers’ first interaction with Hisense to the product experience and after-sales service, we want to deliver the same level of quality and trust at every touchpoint.”
Following the press conference, the event continued with a special experience combining product demonstrations, technology and football.
Football coach Volkan Demirel and former Turkish international footballer Caner Erkin competed against each other on a gaming console using Hisense RGB MiniLED screens. The activity gave guests the opportunity to experience firsthand the immersive large-screen viewing, picture quality and smooth motion performance of Hisense televisions.
