Koronea family office takes control of Turkish Atlas Trafo

Koronea Family Office, the Polish investment company of the Wypychewicz family, is acquiring a 51% stake in Atlas Trafo, a Turkish transformer manufacturer, the company has announced in a press release. The value of the transaction is nearly PLN 250 million (EUR 58.5 mln).
The acquisition of Atlas Trafo is a consistent implementation of the development strategy and helps strengthens operational independence across the entire value chain and its competitive position in European markets, said Koronea Family Office's CEO Michal Wypychewicz.
"A key element of the project is an investment in a modern production plant, which will enable an increase in production capacity by approximately 30% as early as Q2 2026 and further improvement in the efficiency of Atlas Trafo's manufacturing processes. This investment will increase the value of the entire transaction by an additional PLN 100 million," he added.
The investment is also a response to the challenges of the Polish market related to the deteriorating demographic situation, which results in limited availability of employees, the company pointed out.
Türkiye, thanks to its strategic location, is a natural gateway to the Middle East and African markets and one of the most important production hubs for European markets, it added.
Turkish firm Atlas Trafo is a producer of oil-filled transformers for network operators, stations, distributors with monthly capacity 300 MW (rising to 400 MW in Q2 2026 with new plant commission, with annual output at around 3,000 units).
Koronea Family Office is an investment company owned by the Wypychewicz family, managing assets worth over PLN 6 billion and developing long-term investments in the energy, industrial, technology and media sectors.
