French company Fareva acquires pharmaceutical site in Türkiye

FAREVA strengthens its pharmaceutical footprint with the acquisition of the Lüleburgaz site in Türkiye

A strategic location, significant manufacturing capacity and extensive pharmaceutical expertise: with the integration of the Lüleburgaz site in Türkiye, FAREVA takes another major step in the expansion of its global pharmaceutical manufacturing network.

Located close to Istanbul, at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Lüleburgaz strengthens FAREVA’s ability to support pharmaceutical companies across international markets with greater capacity, flexibility and geographic reach.

A strategic pharmaceutical manufacturing hub

Covering a total area of 338,000 m², including 72,000 m² of industrial buildings, the Lüleburgaz site is located in one of Türkiye’s key pharmaceutical regions.

Its strategic position provides efficient access to multiple international markets and complements FAREVA’s existing pharmaceutical manufacturing footprint.

With a production capacity of up to 445 million packs per year on a three-shift basis, the site brings significant additional manufacturing capabilities to the Group.

Its technical expertise covers a broad range of pharmaceutical dosage forms:

  • solid dosage forms;
  • liquids;
  • semi-solids;
  • sterile products;
  • penicillins;
  • cephalosporins.

This diversity enables the site to manufacture an extensive portfolio of molecules and product references for customers operating across Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and Oceania.

Quality and industrial expertise at the core

Beyond capacity, Lüleburgaz brings decades of pharmaceutical manufacturing know-how.

The site is supported by a robust industrial organisation and a strong quality culture, demonstrated through its track record of international inspections, customer audits and major regulatory certifications.

These capabilities further strengthen FAREVA’s ability to provide pharmaceutical customers with reliable, high-quality manufacturing solutions across an increasingly international supply network.

Nearly 750 new colleagues joining FAREVA

This acquisition is also an important human milestone for the Group.

Nearly 750 women and men are joining FAREVA, bringing extensive pharmaceutical expertise, technical know-how and a strong industrial culture developed over many years.

Their experience and knowledge represent a major asset for the Group as FAREVA continues to develop its pharmaceutical activities worldwide.

The integration of Lüleburgaz also brings an established international customer portfolio, including several leading pharmaceutical companies, creating new opportunities for long-term partnerships and future growth.

This acquisition marks a new step in FAREVA’s international development. The Lüleburgaz site combines major strengths: a strategic location, significant industrial capacity, diversified technical expertise and a strong customer portfolio. It enhances our ability to support pharmaceutical customers in demanding and growing international markets.” Alexandre Bastit, CEO, FAREVA Pharma & API Business Unit

Building an increasingly global pharmaceutical CDMO

With Lüleburgaz joining its network, FAREVA further strengthens its pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities and its ability to serve customers wherever they operate.

The acquisition supports a clear ambition: to continue building one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical CDMOs, combining industrial excellence, international reach and long-term partnerships.

For pharmaceutical companies, this expanded footprint means access to a broader range of technologies, significant manufacturing capacity and an increasingly international industrial network designed to support both current production needs and future growth.
