Mergers & Acquisitions in Türkiye : 2025 marks a historic turning point

Data published by the Turkish Competition Authority show that 2025 stands out as a landmark year for the M&A market in Türkiye, with a total of USD 11.81 billion in recorded M&A transactions (excluding privatizations). This figure represents the highest level ever recorded since 2013, the year in which the publication of Mergers and Acquisitions Overview Reports began.

Foreign investors remain strongly engaged

• Foreign investors stayed highly active in 2025, with 55 transactions representing approximately USD 7 billion invested, marking the second-highest level since 2013.
• The prominent positions of Germany and France confirm the key role of European economic partners in the Turkish market.

In terms of number of transactions, activities related to IT, consulting, and software development dominate, while financial intermediation activities account for the largest transactions in terms of value.
