Air Liquide
THE COMPANY
CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVE(S)
AIR LIQUIDE is a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare. Operating in 60 countries with 66,300 employees, the Group serves more than 4 million customers and patients.
Starting in 2008, AIR LIQUIDE began sourcing equipment in Türkiye while analyzing the dynamics of the industrial gases market.
From 2012, the main objective was to establish production in Türkiye with an initial investment of over 150 million euros. This investment aimed to penetrate the large industry market, notably by securing contracts with major Turkish industrial companies.
Additionally, from 2014, the Group strengthened its human resources by developing a dedicated sales force to accelerate its growth in the gas cylinder market.
CONTENT OF SUPPORT
ADVANTIS initially provided its expertise to AIR LIQUIDE by optimizing the sourcing process and qualifying cryogenic tank manufacturers, as part of a supply chain rationalization strategy. At the same time, ADVANTIS provided in-depth sectoral analyses, facilitating the development of commercial strategies tailored to each market segment.
ADVANTIS also supported strategic projects for the “Large Industries” division, notably through structuring partnerships with Petkim and the STAR refinery. This positioning enabled AIR LIQUIDE to strengthen its presence in key sectors of Türkiye's petrochemical industry.
As part of its expansion, ADVANTIS advised AIR LIQUIDE on establishing a “stand-alone” facility in Ankara, aimed at meeting the growing demand for gas and expertise in the local defense, aerospace, and space industries.
Finally, ADVANTIS provided tailored training for the sales teams, enabling them to better understand the specificities of the Turkish market while aligning their approach with AIR LIQUIDE’s global sales strategy for its technologies.
RESULT(S)
Today, AIR LIQUIDE in Türkiye generates a turnover of more than 180 million euros, with over 80 employees.
The Group operates a plant within the SOCAR-PETKIM petrochemical complex, which supplies both the petrochemical plant and the STAR refinery. A second plant is located in the Marmara region, while a third is on the Eskişehir – Ankara axis.

A French engineering company that specializes in custom capacitive measuring for a variety of industries (medical, defense, energy, etc.) used market research and customer prospecting to ensure its export strategy.
