With more than 8,000 km of coastline and enjoying a myriad of favorable sites at sea, in lakes and water reservoirs, Turkey has all the assets of a great maritime power.

Aquaculture records higher growth rates (+ 12% in 2021) than fishing (+ 2% in 2021), however, the considerable resources still remain poorly optimized and the contribution of its fish and seafood to the country's economy is less than 1%.

The needs of fishing and aquaculture, oriented towards production with a weak strategic vision, are numerous: advanced equipment and technologies, animal health and food, genetics, etc.

So there is many export opportunities and potential partnerships with a view to transferring know-how and increasing skills for foreign investors.
