The Turkish e-commerce market is experiencing a meteoric rise: online transactions reached TRY 800 billion in 2022, representing an increase of 488% compared to 2019. The Covid crisis has accelerated the digitalization of retail and the sector now has 548,688 merchant sites.
This growth is also fueled by the population's enthusiasm for digital technology, which has now become essential in the daily lives of Turks: more than 71 million (83.4% of the population) have access to the Internet, consumers are increasingly equipped more smart mobiles and e-consumers now prefer to use the Internet channel rather than traditional distribution.
