Cybersecurity in Türkiye

With an Internet penetration rate of 85%, and a score of 3.24 / 5 in digital transformation, Turkey is an important market for ICT with 29.9 billion USD.

The rapid digital transformation, both regionally and nationally, raises the issue of information security risk, which has become as critical as the country's national security, particularly in view of Turkey's ranking in the world's Top 10 in terms of numbers. attacks (botnet, zombie, malware, etc.).

Turkey has accelerated the establishment of e-governance and invested in solutions in both the military, public and private sectors. The number of cyber-attacks has thus decreased while global cybercrime and cybersecurity issues have increased by 60% in 2020 due to COVID-19.

The projects carried out in public-private and military cooperation as well as the technologies developed locally by the defense industry have made it possible to classify Turkey among the most advanced countries in terms of cybersecurity.

As a member of NATO's Cooperative Cyber Defense Center of Excellence (CCDCOE), Turkey is actively involved in enhancing cyber defense capabilities internationally.
