The Covid-19 continues to occupy the headlines in Turkey like many countries. As of September 28, 2020, Turkey recorded 315,845 cases of contamination for 8,062 deaths. The health situation in Turkey is therefore not completely under control and the number of cases recorded daily has increased every day since the lifting of restrictions last June and the holidays. However, Turkey remains one of the least affected countries: according to the OECD, it ranks third after China and South Korea. In order to limit the risks while preserving economic activity, the local authorities have implemented targeted measures which start to give positive results. The improvement in some indicators this past months (increase in industrial production, exports, domestic consumption, tourism) are signs of an upcoming recovery.
